Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: General Asim Munir, the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, recently pointed out the increase in insecurity in this country and said, "You can curse the whole of Afghanistan" because according to him, "the life of a Pakistani is more important than the whole of Afghanistan." »
The Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army made these statements on Wednesday, the fourth of Aquarius, among the students of the country's public universities.
While warning Pakistan's neighbors, especially the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, he said that "when it comes to the safety and security of individual Pakistanis, the whole of Afghanistan can be damned."
He also said that "the life of a Pakistani is more important than the whole of Afghanistan."
These words of the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army have been met with the reaction of the government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate condemned Asim Munir's statements on the X social network and responded to Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Chief of Staff of the Afghan Armed Forces, in this regard.
Based on this, the Chief of Staff of the Afghan Armed Forces has considered the recent statements of the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army as insulting and caused by the helplessness of the government officials of that country.
Mr. Fitrat has said that "Pakistan has failed to ensure the security of its citizens and blames its shortfall on others."
Fitrat addressed the people of Pakistan and said that they should react against such biased opinions of their men's government, which causes hatred between two neighboring and Muslim countries.
He emphasized that this expression of irresponsible opinions not only does not solve the problem; Rather, it harms the good relations between the two neighboring countries.
At the same time, Munir's statements have been criticized by a number of political and media figures and Afghan citizens on social networks.
In one of these reactions, Mohammad Jalal, a media activist who is close to Sirajuddin Haqqani, said: We cannot lower ourselves morally enough to say that the life of an Afghan is more valuable than the whole of Pakistan.
He added: Every human's life is important, no wise and wise leader will make such a comparison. Asim Munir put his people and his country in a big trouble, this claim of his is also a lie.
Abdul Salam Zaeef, the ambassador of the first round of the Islamic Emirate government in Pakistan, also responded to General Asim Munir's statement that "the life of a Pakistani is more important than the whole of Afghanistan." He said that Asim Mounir "brazenly insulted" Afghans.
The former ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Pakistan wrote on the X social network: "There were hundreds of Pakistani prisoners with us in the Guantanamo detention center who, like us and other Muslims, were sold to the United States by the Pakistani intelligence, which proved their importance and insignificance. How loyal they are to their religion, homeland and people."
A human rights organization known as "Union of Human Rights Activists" has called the recent statements of Asim Munir, the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, about Afghanistan "irresponsible".
The Union of Human Rights Activists wrote that Pakistan's army chief has "damaged" the feelings of the Afghan people in his recent statements.
According to this organization, the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army "as a human being can make mistakes, but his legal dignity is the highest military official in Pakistan and no people can ignore his statements."
The Union of Human Rights Activists has asked the civil society and human rights activists of Pakistan to "seek forward-looking to alleviate the situation and continue historical goodwill with Afghanistan."
