Speakers at the press conference of the "Leadership Board of State Enterprises" in Kabul announced the establishment of an independent department to regulate state enterprises in the near future and said that professional and experienced people will be recruited in this department for Afghanistan's self-sufficiency in the field of production.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Today (Sunday, January 21) news conference of the leadership board of state-owned companies in order to provide details of the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate regarding the establishment of an independent department to regulate state-owned companies in the government information and media center with the presence of senior officials of the caretaker government.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, described the creation of this office as important and said: "The activity of state enterprises and companies in Afghanistan was very influential until the last decade of the last century, when state companies provided up to 60 percent of the national budget.

Mullah Baradar added that no serious attention has been paid to government companies and enterprises during the past 40 years.

Referring to the reactivation of many state-owned companies by the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Baradar said that with the Islamic Emirate's rule, as a result of the efforts of the Ministry of Finance, the majority of companies have been reactivated and their revenues have increased significantly.

Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Professional of the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Emirate, during his speech, called the creation of an independent administration of state-owned companies an important need for greater coordination and elimination of work conflicts.

He said: "The fight against administrative corruption, eliminating bureaucracy, eradicating drugs, controlling the inflation rate, increasing exports and preserving the Afghani currency are among the important achievements of the Islamic Emirate in the last two years."

The deputy expert of the Ministry of Economy added that gathering companies under a single umbrella is beneficial for the country's economic growth.

He stated that if we want to be an advanced country, we must first build infrastructure, and said that the Islamic Emirate is trying to be self-sufficient in Afghanistan.

He emphasized the unity and agreement between the government and the citizens and said that the country moves towards progress with unity.

On the other hand, Mohammad Yonus Momand, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said that the private sector of the country will cooperate with the independent administration of state-owned companies.

He added that the citizens of the country should use domestic products, especially domestic fruits, in order to support producers and farmers.

However, Ahmad Jan Bilal, the head of state-owned companies, said: The Islamic Emirate has implemented various programs in order to strengthen economic conditions and standard construction.

He said that government companies have played a key role in the creation of various companies since the past.

According to him, all investments of state-owned companies are financed from the domestic budget. He added that government companies are trying to create job opportunities for citizens.

Ahmad Jan Bilal said: "The governing law of the republican system in state-owned companies has not been effective and efficient for Afghanistan's conditions, and for this reason, the leader of the Islamic Emirate has ordered the creation of an independent administration."

Stating that professional and experienced people are recruited in the management of state companies, he added: "Modern systems are used so that things go well and there is transparency."

This official of the Islamic Emirate asked the government companies to consider the quality in the production of their goods.

According to him, more than hundreds of companies will be under the umbrella of the independent administration of state-owned enterprises.
