Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Yahya Saree, the American ship "Kim Ranger" was targeted with a suitable missile and the missiles hit the target.
An American official confirmed in an interview with Al Jazeera that the ship carrying chemicals was targeted by the Yemenis.
This American official claimed that this attack did not cause damage or casualties and is continuing its course in the Gulf of Aden.
Yahya Saree actually confirmed the news that Al Jazeera reported earlier. On Thursday evening, Al Jazeera news channel reported, quoting a Yemeni military source, that the forces of Ansarullah have targeted a ship belonging to the United States near the coast of "Al-Mukalla" in the east of this country.
An hour earlier, US President Joe Biden, despite admitting the ineffectiveness of his country's attacks against Ansarullah in Yemen, said that these attacks will continue.
A reporter asked Biden: "Are the strikes against the Houthis in Yemen effective?"
The US president responded: "When you say they are effective [the question arises] are they stopping the Houthis?" No! But will they continue? Yes."
America and England carried out their fourth round of attacks against Ansarullah positions in Yemen. Several cities and different regions of Yemen were attacked by warships of the American and British navy.
"Al-Masira" network reported about the details of this operation that the American-British attacks started from Hodeidah and Dhammar provinces and then spread to Saada, Taiz and Al-Bayda provinces.
Before that, Brigadier Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, said that the country's navy attacked an American ship in the Gulf of Aden with a number of missiles and accurately hit it.
These attacks started last week. On the first day of the attack, which took place early last Friday, the United States claimed to have targeted training sites, air bases and drone maintenance facilities belonging to Yemen's Ansarullah.
Immediately after that attack, Yemen's Ansarullah forces announced that they were firing ballistic missiles at enemy positions in the waters.
Palestinian groups including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine have condemned these attacks.
