The statement of the Yemeni army about the attack on the American ship in the Gulf of Aden
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Monitoring: According to Fars News Agency, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, said early Thursday that the country's navy attacked the American ship Ginko Picardy in the Gulf of Aden with a number of missiles and accurately hit it.
Saree explained in a televised statement: "We will not hesitate to target all sources of threats in the Arabian and Red Seas within the framework of the right to legitimate defense of dear Yemen and to continue supporting the oppressed people of Palestine."
In this statement, which was broadcasted on "Al-Masira" channel, it is stated: "We confirm that the response to the American and British attacks will be inevitable. Any new aggression [to Yemen] will not go unanswered and punished."
In response to the West's claims that Yemen threatens all ships in the Red Sea, he stated: "We confirm the continued passage of ships in the Arabian and Red Seas to all destinations in the world, except for the ports of occupied Palestine."
The spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces added: "Our operations against Israeli ships or ships bound for occupied Palestinian ports will not stop until the aggression and blockade against the steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza is lifted."
It was on Wednesday evening that "Jake Sullivan", the national security advisor of the White House, announced that Washington has returned the name of Yemen's Ansarullah movement to the list of so-called "terrorist" organizations in this country.
The political office of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement, in response to this American action, considered it worthless and said that Yemen has been under the siege of America for years. (More details)
It was in February 2021 that the American government headed by Joe Biden canceled the decision of the previous government of this country and removed the name of Ansarullah from the alleged list of terrorist organizations./Fars news
