Nippon Yusen, one of Japan's largest shipping companies, announced on Tuesday that it has stopped crossing the Red Sea for all its ships.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): A spokesperson of the company told Reuters news agency that all its vessels traveling near the Red Sea have been ordered to stay in safe waters.
Nippon Yusen, which is also known as NYK Shipping Lines, also said that it is also considering changing the route of the ships and not crossing the Red Sea.
Before this, two other Japanese shipping companies, Mitsu OSCA and Kawasaki Kaisha shipping lines, had also announced that they have suspended crossing the Red Sea.
Meanwhile, several large European shipping companies had stopped crossing the Red Sea.
