AVA - Grenade attack in Nangarhar

In a hand grenade attack, the head of education for Hasark district in Nangarhar wounded and his four daughters killed on Sunday night.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Nangarhar officials said unknown people threw a grenade at Ghulam Jilani Hanafi’s house. Hanafi’s wife was also wounded in the attack.

Farhad Ahmed Stanikzai, the spokesperson of the Nangarhar Education Department, confirmed the incident, and said the motive is not clear and no individual or group has claimed responsibility.

Officials also said that Hanafi’s house had come under attack in the past but that there had been no casualties.
