AVA - Death Toll of Dasht-e-Barchi Rises to 5

The death toll of Saturday's blast in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul has risen to 5 while 15 other people were wounded. The Kabul department of security said.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The spokesman for the Kabul department of security, Khalid Zadran, said that an investigation is underway regarding the blast.

“In the Dasht-e-Barchi area, in a minibus, 5 compatriots were killed in a blast due to explosives placed in it,” he said.

Hossein, 30, who married last year, is one of the victims of yesterday’s blast. He was working as a vendor.

“He was leaving home early in the morning and coming back late. What sin did he commit to face such an incident?” said Mohammad Handi, father of Hossein.

“Right now, we brought 3 corpses and there are many others wounded,” said a relative of the victims.

The blast, which was claimed by Daesh, faced strong condemnation by Afghan politicians.
