Kim Jong-un issued an order to prepare for an "unyielding" war

1 Jan 2024 - 9:46

At the end of five days of meetings of North Korea's ruling party, which will define economic, military and foreign policy goals for the coming year, Kim Jong-un, in a long speech, once again criticized Washington and ordered his country's military and nuclear forces to Be ready for "unstoppable" war.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Korean state media reported on Sunday that North Korea's leader promised to launch three more spy satellites, build military drones and strengthen his nuclear arsenal in the new year.

Meanwhile, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un believes that US policy is such that war is inevitable.

According to the North Korean Central News Agency, Kim Jong Un said: "Due to the reckless moves of the enemy to attack us, it is a fact that war may break out on the Korean Peninsula at any moment."

He ordered the military to be fully prepared to "pacify the entire territory of South Korea" in response to any attack, even if necessary with nuclear bombs.

Kim's speech is on the last day of 2023, while next year we will see important elections in South Korea and the United States.

US President Joe Biden's administration says it is open to talks, but Washington imposed new sanctions on Pyongyang after North Korea resumed testing banned missiles.

In addition to the sanctions, the US has also increased military exercises in the region and deployed more military equipment, including nuclear-armed submarines and large aircraft carriers, near the Korean Peninsula.

Kim Jong-un said the deployment of such weapons has completely transformed South Korea into "a leading military base and nuclear arsenal" for the United States.

Kim said: "If we look at the aggressive military actions of the enemy forces, we will find that the word war has become an objective reality and can no longer be said to be an abstract concept."

Kim said he had no choice but to pursue his nuclear ambitions and forge deeper ties with other countries opposed to the United States.

South Korea will hold parliamentary elections in April that could affect the domestic and foreign agenda of conservative President Yoon Seok-yol, who has taken a bellicose stance toward Pyongyang.

South Korea's National Intelligence Service warned on Thursday that there is a "high possibility that North Korea will unexpectedly launch a military provocation or cyberattack in 2024."

The leader of North Korea rejected the possibility of an alliance with South Korea in the current situation and ordered that his country fundamentally change its principle and direction towards South Korea.
