AVA - ARCS distributes cash aid to widows and orphans in Kabul

We have provided cash assistance to 2,600 widows and orphans in Kabul province. Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) officials said.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The cash aid was provided by the British Red Cross and 8,500 afghanis was given to each person, ARCS officials said.

Although the recipients of the cash aid are happy about the initiative, they said that work opportunities should be provided for them.

“Thank you [ARCS] for helping us. We hope this organization helps us more in the future,” said a recipient.

ARCS officials stated that many families in Nangarhar, Kandahar and Helmand provinces have also been covered by the cash assistance of this institution.
