The Russian Defense Minister announced on Monday that the country's armed forces have taken full control of the city of Marinka in the Donetsk region.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Sergei Shoigu", the Minister of Defense of Russia, announced in a report to the President of this country, Vladimir Putin: During the offensive operations, the Russian forces liberated the city of Marinka in the southwest of Donetsk today.

According to Shoigu, Russia's control of the city will help the country's armed forces to protect the Donetsk region from the Ukrainian army with greater strength.

The Minister of Defense of Russia also said that this incident weakens the defense power of the Ukrainian army and opens the hands of the Russian armed forces for future actions.

With the publication of this news, Vladimir Putin congratulated Shoigu on the control of this city and thanked all the Russian army personnel who were present at various stages of the struggle.

According to Putin, one of the benefits of this event is the withdrawal of the Ukrainian armed forces from the Donetsk region.

Despite the fact that Ukraine has been building defense fortifications in this region since 2014, the Russian president said: "By penetrating these fortifications, our forces can enter a larger operational area."

At the same time, the Ukrainian army denied the control of Russian forces over Marinka region in the east of the country.
