After the official announcement of the death of Nawaf Al-Ahmad Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait at the age of 86, according to the country's constitution, Mashal Al-Ahmad will be the new Emir of Kuwait, who is 83 years old.

According to Al Jazeera news agency, Kuwait's Emiri Diwan said in a statement: "With great sadness, we mourn the death of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait."

It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Nawaf became the Emir of Kuwait in September 2020 after the death of his half-brother, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
