A number of Turkish investors, in a meeting with the Acting Ministry of Energy and Water of the Islamic Emirate, expressed their interest in investing in electricity generation projects from various sources in Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Energy and Water published a news release saying that Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, Acting Minister of Energy and Water, met with Sheikh Omar Farooq Modares Oglu, the head of the Anatolian Ulama of Turkey, Fatih Shinir, the head of the Tumsiad Trade Institute and he met a number of other Turkish investors.
In this meeting, Turkish investors expressed their interest in investing in electricity generation projects from different sources.
Acting Minister of Energy and Water, expressing his appreciation for their interest in investing in Afghanistan, stated that this country has the necessary capacities to produce energy from various sources, and the leadership of the ministry welcomes investors' interest in this regard.
Acting Minister of Energy and Water also emphasized that technical meetings should be held for greater coordination between the officials of both sides so that the groundwork for these investments can be provided as soon as possible and practical work can begin.
