Dollar Juma, Talibek Ibraif and Mohammad Ali, the ministers of energy of these three countries unanimously demanded the early start of the commercial operation of this inter-regional electricity transmission line.
The ministers have prepared a joint call asking international financial institutions to help develop the project.
According to the press department of the Casa-1000 project, the ministers of the three countries want to facilitate the resumption of the construction of this project in Afghanistan, because without the participation of this country, this project will lose its value.
This request is raised while the construction of the infrastructural parts of the Casa-1000 project in other countries is coming to an end.

It has been said that the CASA-1000 modern electricity transmission system will help transform regional trade and will be an important step towards the realization of the Central Asia-South Asia Regional Electricity Market (CASAREM) and this project will improve electricity systems and develop cooperation. It will help the inter-region between Central Asia and South Asia.
The total cost of this project, which will bring electricity from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan, is estimated at more than one billion US dollars, and the necessary credits are provided by the World Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. is allocated
The project is expected to develop the necessary physical infrastructure and establish the institutional and legal framework for the transfer of surplus electricity from existing facilities in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The physical infrastructure of CASA-1000 includes: 500 kV high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system between Tajikistan and Pakistan through Afghanistan, a transmission link from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to connect to the transmission line from Tajikistan to South Asia and construction of power substations. It is required in Kabul (Afghanistan), Peshawar (Pakistan) and Sangtuda (Tajikistan).
According to the implementation unit of this project in Tajikistan, the total length of electricity transmission lines in Tajikistan is 289 km, in Afghanistan is 570 km, in Kyrgyzstan is 450 km, and a small part of it is in Pakistan.
