Kyiv Mayor: Zelensky will soon step down as a failed leader

5 Dec 2023 - 10:57

The Daily Mail quoted Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko as reporting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will soon step down due to defeat in the battlefields.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Daily Mail on Monday, December 4, quoted Klitschko as saying that Zelensky failed as a war leader and is now paying for his mistakes.

Vitali Klitschko said that Ukraine's counterattack against Russia has stopped.

He went on to say that Zelensky's popularity with the Ukrainian military has declined as people see who is effective and who is not.

He has criticized what he calls the military's under-preparedness under the Zelenskyi administration against a Russian invasion.

This is despite the fact that previously, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, admitted that this spring's counterattack against Russia could not meet the expected goals.

He said on Friday, December 1: "This plan has not achieved the desired results, because Ukraine wanted faster results."

However, until now the official authorities of Ukraine have not commented on the claim made by Vitali Klitschko.

These statements are made while it was previously reported that a number of Ukraine's allies have discussed the peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.
