Ministry of Interior: Herat's terrorist act is an unforgivable crime; The perpetrators will be arrested and punished
In response to the recent assassination of two Shia scholars and the martyrdom of four other compatriots in Herat Province, the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate called it an unforgivable crime and while expressing sympathy with the survivors, promised to identify the perpetrators of this criminal event and hand them over to the law.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate issued a statement last night in response to the terrorist attack on Friday in Herat province, which led to the martyrdom of a group of compatriots, including two clerics and women.
In part of this statement, it is stated: "Unfortunately, today, six innocent people, including women, were martyred and two others were injured in a terrorist act by unknown people in Anjil district of Herat province. While condemning this unforgivable crime, the Ministry of Interior has expressed its sympathy with the families and relatives of the victims of this terrorist event, and prays for the martyrs of this event to go to heaven from the Almighty Allah and for the injured to recover quickly.
The announcement adds: The Ministry of Interior considers such terrorist actions to be the work of the enemies of the Afghan people and assures that it will seriously investigate such criminal events and identify the perpetrators and hand them over to the law.
It is worth noting; On Friday, 1st of DEC, after the Friday political prayer, 9 residents of Jibril district of Herat, who were riding a three-wheeler and were moving towards their homes, were attacked by unknown armed men.
In this terrorist attack, 6 people were martyred, including Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Muhammad Mohsen Hamidi, Mullah Imam of Hazrat Abul Fazl (AS) Mosque and Hojjat-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Muhammad Taqi Sadeghi, Mullah Imam of Rasul Azam (PBUH) Mosque in this area.
Earlier, two other religious scholars and members of Shia Ulama Council of Herat province, Sheikh Rajab Akhlik and Khadim Hossein Hedayati, were shot and martyred by unknown gunmen in Al-Mahdi Jibril town on Thursday.
Maulavi Hayatullah Mohajer, the deputy governor of Herat, promised to arrest the perpetrators of this incident at the Fatiha ceremony of the two religious scholars, and said that the enemies who commit such actions are against the religion, culture and unity of the Afghan people.
