Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)  - International Service: Pakistani authorities have said that 11 people were killed as a result of a fire in a multi-storey shopping center in the city of Karachi, Pakistan.

Karachi Mayor Mortaza Wahab said several other people were trapped in the building.

 

Firefighters continue to work at the scene. It is said that about 46 people were also rescued.

 

Some of the injured have been taken to the nearby hospital, and the condition of seven people is reported to be critical.
