The national team of Afghanistan's men's wheelchair basketball team was able to defeat their Philippine opponents with a score of 53-49 in the Para-Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the organizers of the Para Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, the Afghanistan men's wheelchair basketball team managed to defeat their Philippine opponents by 53-49 on Friday.
Afghanistan was defeated by the Iranian team in its first game on Thursday with a score of 91-33. The Afghan team is scheduled to compete with the Thai team in the third competition on October 24, and the last match of the group stage of the Afghan team is on October 25 against The Chinese team will be held.
In the Para-Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, ten teams have participated in the men's wheelchair basketball field, competing in two five-team groups. Afghanistan is grouped with Iran, China, the Philippines and Thailand in Group A.
In the second group, teams from South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia and Kuwait compete together.
The Afghanistan team is now in the second place in its group with one win and one loss and having three points after the Chinese team, and the Philippines, Iran and Thailand teams are third to fifth.
