In a meeting with his colleagues, Mullah Bakhtur Rahman Sharaft, the general director of the Afghanistan Railway Department, emphasized on the development of bilateral railway cooperation, and the Iranian side assured the increase of traffic through the 3rd section of the Khaf-Herat railway line.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Afghanistan Railway Department has published a news release saying that Mullah Bakhtur Rahman Sharaft, the General Director of the Afghanistan Railway Department and the delegation accompanied by Sayed Miyad Salehi, the head of the Iranian Railway Department and Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban planning of this country met in Tehran.
 
In this meeting, the speed of transfers through the 3-Khaf-Herat railway line was discussed and the Iranian side assured that efforts will be made to increase the level of traffic on this route in the field of cooperation.
 
Also, the two sides emphasized on the development of bilateral railway cooperation and considered the third section of Khaf-Herat railway line important in the economic development of the two countries.
 
A few days ago, the head of the Afghanistan Railway Department and his accompanying delegation left for Iran for further cooperation.
