AVA - Security forces seize arms, ammunition in Kandahar

Afghan security forces have arrested two weapon smugglers and seized arms and ammunition in Kandahar province.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, In the operation, the security personnel found three Kalashnikovs, mortar mines and many other munitions, the statement said.

Earlier on Saturday, security authorities seized arms and ammunition in Zabul province, including two Kalashnikovs, a pistol, thousands of bullets, and a few more pieces of military equipment.

The Afghan caretaker government has vowed to recover arms and ammunition from anyone living outside the security organs.
