Officials said that, six shamans have been arrested by authorities in Badghis province.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Ahmad Jan Hanzala, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said the shaman’s had been working to break up families, in an un-Islamic practice.

He said books, amulets and documents had been seized from the individuals, which showed they had split couples.

Hanzala said that the arrested individuals were referred for prosecution.
