AVA - Acting Mines and Petroleum Minister Travelled to Logar

Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, and his accompanying delegation traveled to Logar province.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Deputy Governor of Logar Mawlavi Inayatullah Shuja during the meeting said, Logar is a rich province with many mines, and there are good opportunities in mining sector that can be utilized for the prosperity of the people and development of the country.

He shed light on the problems and demands of the local people and asked the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to address the challenges and share them with the cabinet for the attention of the central government.

Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Sheikh Shahabuddin Dilawar said that the sacrifice of Mujahideen and the people of Logar will never be forgotten.

A ten-member committee comprised of local officials of Logar was also created for ensuring transparency in contracts, prevention of mining smuggling, contracts with reputable companies, and good utilization of mines.

It is worth noting that the newly appointed director of the Department of Mines and Petroleum was introduced to his office on Saturday.
