US provided over $75 million in Aid to Pakistani Institutions for Afghan Refugees

US has provided more than $75 million to support Afghan refugees in Pakistan and Pakistani host communities. Embassy of the United States of America in Islamabad, Pakistan, said.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, “Since October 2021, the US has provided more than $75 million to support Afghan refugees in Pakistan and their Pakistani host communities,” the US embassy said in a tweet.

 
Meanwhile, the statement also welcomed the partners who provide lifesaving protection and other significant services to support Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
 
“We welcomed our partners who provide lifesaving protection, education, health care, and mental health services to support refugees and their host communities across Pakistan.”
 
The US embassy and consulate in Pakistan earlier in January 2023 released a statement saying that the US had provided more than $273 million in humanitarian aid to Afghan refugees in Pakistan and Pakistani host communities since 2002.
 
The statement further said that during fiscal year 2022, the US provided nearly $60 million in aid to the refugees and their host communities.
