AVA - IEA Pledge Eradicating Drugs in Afghanistan

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to entirely eradicating drugs in the country. Deputy Foreign Minister, in a meeting with Norwegian charge d’affaires in Afghanistan, said.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai met with Paul Kloman Becken, Chargé d’Affaires of the Norwegian Embassy in Afghanistan, a statement said.

The Norwegian’s Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan expressed his satisfaction with the effective steps taken by the Islamic Emirate in the direction of maintaining security and fighting drugs and he reminded that Afghan farmers should be supported in finding an alternative livelihood for them

For his part, Mr. Stanikzai said that the Afghanistan government is committed to the complete eradication of drugs, urging that the international community has not yet taken any responsibility in this respect.

According to the ministry in this meeting, the two sides discussed some other relevant interested issues as well.
