IEA Rejects presence of TTP in Afghanistan

10 Jul 2023 - 23:43

Zabiullah Mujahid, rejected remarks of the Pakistan special envoy for Afghanistan about the relocation of TTP into other parts of Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The Pakistan special envoy for Afghanistan, Asif Ali Durrani, said in an interview with Hum Pashto Khabruna, that Islamabad welcomes transfering of TTP to other areas of Afghanistan.

“If the TTP is relocated and it causes us peace all over our borders, it will be a great change and we praise it, he said.

Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that only refugees from Waziristan who entered Afghanistan due to conflicts in their areas, will be relocated, in a bid to assure Pakistan about the protection of threats from Afghanistan.

“The reality is that if someone is active or has movements in Pakistan, it is the issue of Pakistan. They should solve this issue. We are committed to not allowing anyone to cause threats to anyone else (or) Pakistan from Afghanistan,” Mujahid said.

This comes as political analysts said that if these displaced people are related to the TTP, they will cause threats for Central Asia, which will also concern Russia.

“Pakistan is a country who always supported terrorism in the region and this is something which is obvious for everyone,” said Janat Fahim Chakari, a political analyst.

“If it is proven that they are the members of the TTP, then it will be very expensive for Afghanistan and its nation because Russia and China will not be ignoring this issue and Russia will use bombardment and any action,” said Aziz Maarij, a political analyst.

Earlier, Mujahid said that the Waziristan refugees will be shifted to the central, south and northern areas of the country.
