The United Nations World Food Program says that the organization's air service has made 1,500 humanitarian aid flights to Afghanistan this year.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The United Nations World Food Program announced that the humanitarian air service of this organization (UNHAS) has made 1,500 flights in Afghanistan this year.
This institution also said that 8,500 passengers and 19 tons of humanitarian cargo were transferred in the flights.
The World Food Program added that these shipments included medical equipment, medicine and vaccines.
This is despite the fact that the World Food Program had previously announced the deterioration of the human situation in Afghanistan and the lack of funds.
The World Food Program has announced that it needs a billion dollar budget to help the people of Afghanistan in the coming winter.
