Unprecedented increase in air temperature/ Guterres: climate change is out of control

Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, has recently said that "climate change is out of control", referring to the breaking of world temperature records last week.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the Guardian, an unofficial analysis of the data shows that the global average temperature in the seven days ending last Wednesday was the hottest week on record.
 
"If we persist in postponing the key actions that are needed, I think we are headed for a catastrophic situation, as the two recent temperature records show," Antonio Guterres said last week, referring to world temperature records being broken on Monday and Tuesday. »
 
According to data compiled by the US National Center for Environmental Prediction, the global average temperature on Tuesday was 17.18 degrees Celsius, surpassing the record of 17.01 degrees Celsius recorded on Monday.
 
For the seven-day period ending Wednesday, average daily temperatures reached 40 degrees Celsius, higher than any week on record in the 44 years that records have been kept, according to data from a weather reanalyze at the University of Maine.
 
This measure showed that the average earth temperature remained at its highest level of 17.18 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
