According to the President of Russia, the fight against terrorism, dealing with extremism and religious radicalism, suppressing drug trafficking and other types of trafficking, and fighting bandit organizations should remain the priority of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Putin added that terrorism has become a serious threat to the security of the region and the world, and this organization should strengthen its efforts to fight terrorism and extremism.
The President of Russia stated: I would like to remind you of Russia's proposal to turn the regional anti-terrorist organization of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization into a multifunctional center that will respond to a wide range of security threats.
He also asked this organization to restore stability to Afghanistan and prevent it from becoming a safe haven for terrorists.
