Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The European Union issued a statement this Saturday following the widespread reaction and condemnation of the burning of the Koran in Sweden, which took place with the permission and support of the country's government on the day of Eid al-Adha. This action was considered "ugly and provocative".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan also summoned the ambassador of Sweden to protest against the desecration of the Holy Quran in this European country.
 
Nichervan Barzani, the head of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, also condemned the burning of the Holy Quran and called for respect for heavenly religions in the whole world.
 
Muhammad Abdussalam, the spokesman of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, also said that repeating the burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden under the official cover of the government of this country is strongly rejected and condemned.
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE also summoned the ambassador of Sweden in response to the country's government allowing the extremists to burn the Holy Quran.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hussain Amir Abdollahian, spoke on the phone with Hussain Ibrahim Taha, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, about the recent insulting act against the Holy Quran in Sweden, and strongly condemned the conversation and insulting the Holy Quran.
 
On Thursday of the previous week, Iraqi protesters attacked the Swedish embassy in Baghdad and destroyed the national emblem of this country.
