Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred around 6:25 am local time with a depth of 100 Km, the Indian National Center for Seismology reported on Wednesday.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.3, Occurred on 21-06-2023, 6:25 am local time, lat: 36.51 N/71.28E, Depth 100 km, location: Zebak district, Badakhshan, Afghanistan.”
Earlier, a similar earthquake of 4.6 magnitudes jolted Faizabad capital city of Badakhshan province of Afghanistan.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.6, Occurred on 04-06-2023, 09:05:32 local time, Lat: 36.71 & Long: 72.96, Depth: 150 Km, Location: 218km E of Fayzabad.”
Within a week, three earthquakes occurred in the province ranging from 4 to 5.2 magnitude of the quake.
No causalities have been reported from the province as of now.
The province is most vulnerable to natural disasters, including earthquakes, floods, avalanches and landslides.
A massive earthquake of 6.5 occurred in March of this year in the Badakhshan province with the epicentre of Zebak district, killing 13 people and injuring 100 others.
