Political experts:

The United Nations ignores the facts that exist in Afghanistan

20 Jun 2023 - 13:56

Political experts say that the United Nations ignores the facts that exist in Afghanistan and makes the positive works of the government in Afghanistan look negative to divert the minds of the world.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: These statements of political experts are raised while Richard Bennett, the special rapporteur for human rights of the United Nations, said yesterday (Monday, June 19) at the beginning of the 50th session of the Human Rights Council of this organization: It is necessary not to look away. We must do our best to confront and end the severe deprivation of basic rights of women and girls in Afghanistan.

The meeting of the Human Rights Council on the situation of Afghan women was held in Genoa on Monday, June 19.

In his last report, he said that the Islamic Emirate has issued more than 50 restrictive decrees against Afghan women and girls.

In this report, Bennett interviewed 79 Afghans, including 67 women inside and outside Afghanistan, including human rights defenders, journalists, lawyers, university professors, entrepreneurs, teachers, students, social service workers, and business women.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said in a tweet today (Tuesday, June 20, 2023) that the United Nations and some Western institutions and governments have launched extensive negative propaganda against the Islamic Emirate.

Mr. Mujahid added: Richard Bennett's report on the situation in Afghanistan is one of those propagandas that do not match the facts.

Qayyum Sufizada, a political expert, said in an interview with AVA: "The United Nations ignores the facts that exist in Afghanistan, because it makes the positive actions of the government in Afghanistan look negative to divert the minds of the world."

He added that UN reporters in many cases organize and publish their hogshots based on the interests of big powers, especially Western countries, so they want to make the situation in Afghanistan look negative to the world with different tricks.

Sufizada pointed out that the United Nations, as an independent global organization, must maintain its neutrality in the Afghanistan issue, otherwise the independence of this organization will be questioned and the world will distrust this organization.

This political informant had the means that the Islamic Emirate has done 90 percent positive things for the citizens of the country compared to the Republic, but the United Nations and other Western countries have never reported this matter fundamentally.

At the same time, Ahmad Fawad Niazi, an expert on international relations, said in an interview with AVA: "The leaders of the Islamic Emirate must take basic measures to reopen girls' schools, because closing educational centers for girls is used as an excuse by the United Nations and other opponents." The Islamic Emirate has put it, that's why they mention closing schools as a violation of human rights in every meeting.

He stated that compared to the time of the republic, citizens now have access to most of their basic rights, and added that during the time of the republic, human rights were mostly violated, but because the government had the support of the Americans, the United Nations did not report any violations. He did not publish human rights.

Niazi emphasized that the imposition of sanctions and restrictions by the United Nations and the United States on the existing government in Afghanistan, which has had negative effects on the lives of citizens, is a violation of human rights.

He asked the leaders of the Islamic Emirate to make changes in their policies and not hinder women's education and work, women should have equal access to education and job opportunities.

It should be mentioned that about two years have passed since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, but so far no country has recognized the Islamic Emirate. In order to recognize the Islamic Emirate, the United Nations wants to establish an inclusive government, provide work and education for girls and women, and freedom of expression.

But the Islamic Emirate has always said that their government is inclusive. The work and education of girls and women are related to internal issues that other countries should not interfere with.
