Iran and UNAMA emphasized on increasing cooperation to help the people of Afghanistan
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Special Representative and Ambassador of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, met with Marks Potzel, Deputy Director of UNAMA, and discussed and exchanged views on increasing cooperation between Iran and the United Nations to help the people of Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran tweeted today (Tuesday, June 20) that Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Special Representative and Head of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, with Marks Putzel, Deputy, United Nations Office of the Deputy Secretary General in Afghanistan (UNAMA) visited.
The Iranian embassy added that the two sides discussed and exchanged views on increasing cooperation between Iran and the United Nations to help the people of Afghanistan.
On the same day, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul published a newsletter and said that Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the special representative of the President of this country for Afghanistan affairs, met with Bakhtur Rahman Sharafat, the head of the Afghanistan Railway Department, and talked about railway cooperation.
It is stated in the newsletter: There was an exchange of views regarding the increase of railway cooperation, including the operation of the Khaf-Herat railway, completion and continuation of the route, and educational, technical and equipment cooperation.
