Pakistani media, quoting the country's security officials, have claimed that Sanaullah Ghafari, known as Shahab al-Muhajar, the leader of the ISIS terrorist group, Khorasan, was killed in Kunar province of Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: This media, citing the security officials of this country, has claimed that the leader of the Khorasan ISIS branch, who was under international persecution, has been killed in Kunar.
There is no information about how Ghafari was killed.
The security authorities in Afghanistan have not said anything about this so far.
Sanaullah Ghaffari is said to have been involved in several attacks in Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Pakistan.
He was the leader of ISIS Khorasan branch since April 2020.
In December 2021, Ghaffari was declared a "global terrorist" by the United Nations, the United States, and the European Union, and a $10 million reward was set on his head.
