AVA - IEA Seeks to Promote Islamic Banking in Afghanistan

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strives for the development of Islamic banking in the country. Deputy Prime Minister for administrative affairs said.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Speaking at the meeting, Jaweed Ahmad Zahiri, the executive chairman of the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan, expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of the officials of the Islamic Emirate in maintaining the Islamic banking system in Afghanistan, a statement said released by Deputy PM’s office.

He shared info about the Islamic banking services in all provinces and districts of the country and said that through this bank, a huge investment has been made in the health sector of the country.

“We seek to serve the people through Islamic banking and give priority to government companies in the investment sector” he added.

Deputy PM Hanafi appreciated the activities of this bank and said that the Islamic Emirate strives to promote Islamic banking in the country and the officials of the Islamic Emirate will not spare any efforts in this sector.

He said that the Islamic Emirate wants to build free and healthy competition among all banks and companies and to provide them with an equal opportunity for promotion.
