MoIC committed to protect all cultural heritage and historical monuments in the country
Acting Information and Culture Minister, met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) in Afghanistan, Engineer Ajmal Maiwandi, the Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Francesco Bandarin and Professor of History and Archeology of Fudan University of the People’s Republic of China Oshek.

Decades of conflict and climate change have damaged dozens of historical monuments and should be protected without consideration of political issues, the statement said.
In the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC), Engineer Ajmal Maiwandi said that Afghanistan is one of the countries that has special position in terms of cultural heritage and historical sites, the according to the statement.
