Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Balkh: Mohammad Tahir Zaheer, the former governor of Bamyan, surrendered to the Islamic Emirate last week after two years of opposition and armed resistance against the Islamic Emirate, yesterday Sunday (May 14) in the presence of local officials of Samangan Province during a press conference. Regarding the process of surrendering to the Islamic Emirate, he said that crisis-stricken Afghanistan needs unity and peace.
He added: "Afghanistan, despite its current crisis, has had a very bright past to the extent that some experts in the human society of the Islamic world owe it to the efforts of Afghan scientists, and every corner of this land once witnessed an empire." Therefore, we must change the current situation of the country with unity, peace, and effort.
He stated: The current crisis in the country and the major social problems prevailing among the people have their origin in our war and differences, and the effects of forty years of war have ruined our nation and destroyed its infrastructure. I studied war and peace during these two years when the rule of the Islamic Emirate was going on in Afghanistan and I knew that the people of Afghanistan and the general public do not want war because the people are tired of war.
Zaheer added that war is not the solution to end Afghanistan's problems; if not, forty years of war would have solved the problems of our land.
He stated: I announce to all the people who are still in favor of war that war is not the solution and that weapons should be laid down and a way of understanding and dialogue should be sought.
This former opponent of the Islamic Emirate said: The opponents of the Islamic Emirate should come and trust for the first time, because I surrendered to peace based on trust and declared my hatred of war and I do so. The Hazara people want unity based on the thought of Martyr Mazari and we do not consider war as a solution in the country.
He continued: I can say with full guarantee that the thought of war among the general public is rejected and you should know that some people want to abuse the ethnic and religious diversity, therefore the Islamic Emirate must show the enemies of Afghanistan that the ethnic and religious diversity It is not a threat but an opportunity.
Zaheer added: Of course, we witnessed that the events of the Shia religion were better organized during the rule of the Islamic Emirate than in the past.
Addressing those who have migrated abroad, he said: All those who have gone abroad, let's follow the path of understanding, peace and reconciliation and not spread hatred against each other, although the overall security in the country has improved, but still we want the Islamic Emirate to provide better and more security.
In response to Ava's reporter's question, how does Tahir Zaheer define his two years of war and opposition to the Islamic Emirate and what does he call it? He said: During two years of opposition and war with the Islamic Emirate, I studied peace and war and found that peace, reconciliation, dialogue and understanding are better.
Meanwhile, Maulavi Abdul Ahad Fazli, governor of Samangan Province, said in this joint conference: "The arms of the Islamic Emirate are open to all opposition and political leaders, according to the decree of pardoning the leader of the Islamic Emirate, and we welcome the joining of Muhammad Tahir Zaheer, the governor of the republican system and to welcome them.
