The Secretary General of the United Nations warned that the world is facing an unprecedented crisis in the system of multilateral relations, so that the tensions between the great powers have reached the highest level.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres made these statements in one of the Security Council meetings chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Guterres emphasized that the world is facing an unprecedented and common crisis and this multilateral system is experiencing the most pressure since the establishment of the United Nations.
He added: The tensions between the great powers have reached their highest level. So are the risks of conflict, through mishaps or miscalculations.
Guterres called for effective multilateral solutions to prevent and resolve conflicts, deal with economic instability and address the challenges of global norms in the field of dealing with the use of nuclear weapons.
