Russia says its consulate general in Mazar-e-Sharif, is already operational.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The state-run news agency TASS quoted Russian presidential envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov as announcing the functioning of the diplomatic mission.

Alexey Pereverzev is serving as Russian consul general in Mazar-e-Sharif, where the Russian consulate had suspended its work amid uncertainty in 2021.

Russian diplomats were evacuated in January 2022, but the consulate was reopened after a thorough analysis.
