The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany has announced the temporary suspension of the asylum application process of Afghan nationals, citing "signs of attempted abuse" as the reason.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The German Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday (March 29) that "after certain signs of possible abuse attempts were observed in the past few weeks", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior jointly They reviewed the trends at the Islamabad embassy.

The statement said that after general assessments, "it was agreed to introduce an additional security check to prevent attempts at deception."

According to Khame, according to the statistics published by this ministry, German embassies outside Afghanistan have issued more than 28,600 visas to Afghans, of which about 4,100 are local employees of this country.

On the other hand, the German government has promised to grant asylum to more than 44,000 Afghans, of which 30,000 are former local German employees and people who are at risk.

Earlier, the European Union announced a 60% increase in asylum requests to European countries and said that Germany had the most applicants with 226,467.
