The delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is traveling to Afghanistan to remove the restrictions on girls' education
Hussain Ibrahim Taha, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, said at the 49th meeting of the foreign ministers of the organization that soon the delegation of scholars of this organization will travel to Kabul to discuss the elimination of educational and work restrictions for women and girls in Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hussain Ibrahim Taha said at the 48th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation: "We in Afghanistan are closely following the developments in this country, the implementation of previous resolutions and the results of the meeting of the executive committee that was held in January last year.
Referring to the recent visit of his special representative to Afghanistan and the meeting with the officials of the Islamic Emirate in Kabul and Kandahar, he stated that Tariq Ali Bakhit, the special envoy of this organization, conveyed the message of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its member countries regarding the commitment to support Afghanistan in the meetings. The level of humanitarianism and the importance of reviewing the recent decisions of the current Afghan authorities regarding girls' education, women's work and the need for more efforts to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations have been conveyed.
The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has stated that the current Afghan authorities still want to be given the opportunity to review university curricula and how to create a safe environment for girls to study.
According to him, Islamic Cooperation Organization, in coordination with the International Academy of Islamic Jurisprudence, will send a team of scholars to Afghanistan to discuss aspects related to Islam's position on women's education and work.
