Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Islamic Emirate in a statement said that Mawlawi Abdul Kabir met with Thomas Nicolson, EU’s special envoy for Afghanistan, and reiterated the current regime is putting every effort to include professional individuals in the government.
According to the statement, Nicolson has said, “the views of Afghan professionals and experts outside the government should be heard”. The EU strongly supports the education of Afghan male and female students and expects that the educational institutions will reopen for them in the new academic year.
Since the overthrow of the previous regime in August 2021, the Islamic Emirate group has formed an exclusive government, in which they dismissed ethnic minorities and women. Over the past 18 months, Afghanistan’s de facto regime has ignored the demands of the regional countries and the international community to establish an all-inclusive government.
Nicolson further reiterated that the EU mission’s presence in Afghanistan is to help the Afghan people, and said the EU and the Islamic Emirate leadership can find solutions to the existing challenges through negotiations.
Meanwhile, Abdul Kabir said the EU has played a significantly important role in strengthening relations between the Islamic Emirate group and European countries. The senior Islamic Emirate member further added that the group has achieved every single condition for recognition – and asked the international community to actively participate in the construction of Afghanistan.
Mr. Kabir further ensured that the Islamic Emirate-run administration will not allow anyone including insurgent groups to pose threats against the security of other countries in the region and beyond.
