During a meeting with Japan Ambassador in Kabul the country’s Acting Interior Minister said that, “Sanction policy would not be in the interest of anyone, problems could be address through dialogue and understanding”.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The country’s Interior Minister, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with Takashi Okada, Ambassador of Japan in Kabul, according to the Ministry’s statement.
Praising Japan’s assistance to Afghanistan, Interior Minister said that economic sanctions and banking restrictions have harmed our people.
“Sanction policy” does not benefit anyone, only dialogue and understanding can solve problems, unfortunately, the world is punishing the common people with its political stance against us, which is not fair, added Haqqani.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is working hard to address the problems and to have a safe Afghanistan and a safe region in the world, he said.
“If the international community gathers with good intentions, there is a lot of hope that the current space of mistrust will be replaced and a language of understanding will emerge” he added.
For his part, ambassador Okada expressed hope that there will be no ban to girls’ education in the next school year.
He vowed cooperation to address the economic problems and existing challenges in Afghanistan.
