Over a year, 800 foreign journalists have traveled to Afghanistan

Hedayatullah Hedayat, head of the Information Access Department of the Islamic Emirate, says that at least 800 foreign journalists have traveled to Afghanistan to cover events.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hedayatullah Hedayat; The head of the Information Access Department of the Islamic Emirate said yesterday (Monday, February 13) on the occasion of World Radio Day that currently more than 367 media outlets, including 200 radio stations and 14 foreign media outlets, are operating in Afghanistan.
 
He also said that so far more than 800 foreign journalists have come to Afghanistan to "reflect the realities".
 
Mr. Hedayat added that "our leadership has made a better environment for this number of journalists and ensured their safety."
 
Mr. Hedayat emphasized the importance of the media in the "framework of Sharia" and said that the Islamic Emirate is committed to freedom of expression and full support of the media in the country, keeping in mind the "Islamic and national" values.
 
He stated that the reason for the closure of most of the media in Afghanistan is economic problems
 
Zabihullah Mujahid; the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said at the scientific meeting of university professors that they do not allow media outlets that "only publish negative news" to operate.
 
Mr. Mujahid, who was speaking at the scientific meeting of professors of Kabul universities, said that "some of the publications that are against the emirate from outside the country are all negativeؤ they do not reflect the positives and achievements, this press is the enemy and the Islamic Emirate does not allow such a press to operate."
 
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate emphasized that the activities of the media should be within the framework of Islamic principles, national interests and national unity.
