AVA - ARCS Stressed Timely Distribution of Humanitarian Aid

During a coordination meeting both sides, the Afghan Red Crescent Society and the International Federation of National Populations in the region, stressed timely distribution of humanitarian in Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Mawlavi Mutiul Haq Khalis, met with Alexander, the head of the International Federation of National Populations in the region, and discussed a number of mutual interested issues, according to ARCS’s statement.

“Last year, the Afghan Red Crescent Society, in addition to providing assistance to many needy people, help displaced, and those who suffered earthquakes,” the head of ARCS said.

He said that this year we are determined to help beggars in the market and on the road, illiterate children who collect garbage in the market, and poor widows so that they are no longer in need.

The ARCS assisted the victims of Floods and earthquakes, but national populations and international aid agencies should help the Afghan Red Crescent Society to provide them with shelter before next winter, he added.

He said that it’s important for the Afghan Red Crescent Society and the International Federation of National Populations to have a good coordination, to could addressed the logistical issues, and form more transparency to deliver aid to needy people in remote areas on time.

For his part, Alexander, said that the International Federation of National Populations will be with the Afghan Red Crescent Society and will strives to organize its operations better.

He said praised the efforts of Afghan Red Crescent Society reaching the earthquake victims in Paktika and Khost provinces.
