The Economic Vice-Chancellor of the Prime Minister says that it has provided the security of TAPI and other national projects and that the Islamic Emirate considers the reconstruction of the country and the revival of the economic infrastructure as its responsibility.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Economic Vice-Chancellor of the Prime Minister has published a newsletter saying that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan pays great attention to the security of national projects in the country and is fully prepared to start the practical affairs of the TAPI project in the country. He knows the importance of the country's economic infrastructure and considers the start of practical work a good news for Afghans.
 
It is emphasized in the newsletter that the TAPI project, which is an important economic project at the regional level, and its work was started during the first period of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, but because of the occupation of Afghanistan by the Americans, its work was delayed.
 
With the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, complete security has been provided in the country, and now a better opportunity has been provided to implement this project, and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has taken specific steps in this regard.
 
It is stated in the newsletter of the Deputy Economic Ministry that a few days ago, the officials of the Ministry of Interior and National Defense and the officials of the General Directorate of Intelligence met with the representatives of Turkmenistan regarding the security of the TAPI project and assured them of the complete security of the TAPI project.
 
The Vice-Chancellor of Economy has said that if necessary, the Islamic Emirate is ready to create a special force to protect the security affairs of this project.
 
The newsletter added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers the reconstruction of the country and the revival of the economic infrastructure as its responsibility, and they believe that the political, security and economic prosperity of the region is the joint responsibility of all the countries in the region and they must take joint actions.
 
The Deputy Economic Ministry said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants relations based on mutual benefits and cooperation with its neighbors, the region and the countries of the world, and expresses its commitment to strengthening security in the field of economic cooperation.
 
The total length of the TAPI gas pipeline is 1,814 km, and this pipeline transfer’s gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India through Afghanistan. This pipeline passes through the provinces of Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand and Kandahar, and 816 km out of a total of 1,814 km is stretched in Afghanistan.
 
Tapi pipeline has the annual capacity to transfer 33 billion cubic meters of gas to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Afghanistan, which has a transit role in this project, is also one of the buyers of imported gas. According to the agreement, Afghanistan will buy three billion cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan in three decades. Along the Tapi gas pipeline route, 12 pressure pumps will be installed, five of which will be built in Afghanistan worth one billion dollars. In this way, Herat is the first province that will make cheaper and wider use of imported energy.
