Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): These demonstrations in the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa were more prominent than in other cities of the occupied territories. Yario Levin, the Minister of Justice of Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet, recently presented a plan to reform the Israeli judicial system, the main purpose of which is to limit the powers of the judicial system of this regime.
This plan limits the powers of the Supreme Court in two areas; On the one hand, the cabinet will have complete control over the appointment of judges, including the judge of the Supreme Court of the Zionist regime. On the other hand, this plan severely limits the power of the Supreme Court to cancel the laws and decisions of the cabinet and allows the Knesset (Parliament of the Zionist regime) to re-enact the laws that the court succeeded in canceling, with the consent of only 61 members.
Therefore, this plan destroys the principle of separation of powers and increases the weight of the parliament and the cabinet in front of the judicial system.
In addition to weakening the judicial system of the Zionist regime, this plan somehow causes the immunity of officials who have cases in the judicial system of this regime. Now in Netanyahu's cabinet, he as well as some ministers have cases related to corruption and terrorism.
Critics believe that Netanyahu and some members of his cabinet are trying to close their cases by weakening the judicial system. Opponents say that this plan will end the independence of the judiciary in Israel and make it impossible to prevent corruption in this country.
Another important point is that the protesters and critics believe that this plan will lead the Zionist regime to a dictatorship and will completely destroy the false democracy that governs this regime.
In the same context, AFP news agency wrote that the protesters carried placards such as "Shame government", "We want the overthrow of the dictator" and "Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't want democracy, we don't need fascists".
Another important issue is that demonstrations in big cities such as Tel Aviv and Haifa show that the new cabinet of the Zionist regime has faced massive protests very soon; the protests in which both his political rivals are present and the strong presence of the people can be seen in it.
This shows that, firstly, the new cabinet of the Zionist regime is under severe pressure and is a fragile cabinet, and secondly, the political and security situation in the occupied territories is extremely vulnerable.
In this regard, Isaac Herzog, the president of the Zionist regime, while expressing concern about the events that took place in the streets of Tel Aviv, said that Israel is in a historical constitutional crisis, which was brought about by the reforms in its judicial structure, and he is trying to Mediation between the parties to end this chaos.
In a statement published by the Zionist media, Herzog added: "We are now at the center of a deep dispute that has troubled our solidarity and worried everyone, both inside Israel and outside of it."
He, who does not have any executive authority, emphasized that he has started working around the clock to avoid the occurrence of a historical constitutional crisis and not to increase the gap formed inside Israel.
