The Ministry of Energy and Water says that Iranian investors have shown interest in investing in water dam construction projects in Afghanistan and necessary arrangements have been made in this regard.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Energy and Water has said that a coordination meeting was held with Iranian investors regarding investment in water dam construction projects.
This meeting was held in the presence of Mujibur Rahman Omar Akhundzadeh, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water, Engineer Rafiullah Stanekzai, Head of Water Program Integration, and a number of Iranian investors.
Gholam Jahani Haqparast, the head of publications of the Ministry of Energy and Water, said: In this meeting, the two sides have discussed and exchanged opinions on the necessary coordination regarding investment in water dams and energy production projects.
Iranian investors, expressing their interest in investing in water dam projects, shared the necessary information about how to proceed with the work affairs with the Deputy Minister of Energy and Water.
Also, after reviewing the necessary information, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Water emphasized to create more coordination and speed up the work.
This is despite the fact that not long ago, the citizens of Afghanistan, especially the residents of the capital city, complained about the lack of drinking water.
It should be remembered that before this, Iranian investors had expressed their interest and seriousness towards investing in various sectors in Afghanistan in a meeting with the officials of the Islamic Emirate.
