Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees Affairs published a statement today, Thursday December 15: Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Immigrants and Returnees Affairs, met with the Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran residing in Kabul.
Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Migrants and Returnees Affairs, in a meeting with the deputy of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, called for more facilities in the field of health education and other basic needs for Afghan immigrants in Iran.
He also reminded that with the consolidation of the Islamic system in Afghanistan, security has been ensured in the country and there has been a serious fight against corruption and drug trafficking, which is all for the benefit of the neighboring countries and the region.
Haqqani requested the country of Iran and other neighbors to make more efforts in consolidating the good relations and the closeness of the nations, keeping in mind the positive changes that have taken place in Afghanistan.
In this meeting, Sayed Hassan Mortazavi, Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reminded of the facilities provided for Afghan immigrants in that country, spoke about continuing cooperation with Afghanistan and providing better and more services for immigrants, and continued friendly relations between the two countries. The country emphasized.
It should be mentioned that yesterday the eighth meeting of the quadrilateral steering committee (strategic solutions for Afghan refugees) was held in Iran with the presence of the representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Sadiq Rezadoost, Director General of Foreign Nationals and Immigrant Affairs of the Ministry of Interior/Iran, referring to the holding of this meeting, stated: The 8th meeting of the Quadripartite Steering Committee for Strategic Solutions was held with the aim of supporting voluntary return, sustainable reintegration and assistance to the host countries.
He announced the presence of the Afghan delegation as one of the important issues of this meeting and added: Considering the empowerment of Afghan nationals in terms of education and skills, it is possible for them to return voluntarily to provide services to their country and if the necessary conditions and infrastructure are provided by Afghanistan. We hope to see this.
Further, the Afghan delegation welcomed the return of Afghan nationals to their original homeland and announced that plans are being made to improve the condition of education, livelihood, health and medical services with the cooperation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. We hope to see the voluntary return of Afghan nationals.
In this meeting, the Islamic Republic of Iran announced its readiness to guide elites and highly skilled Afghan nationals to return and help the development of Afghanistan.
At the same time, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the special representative of the President of Iran for Afghanistan, on Wednesday, December 14, in his second provincial visit to Iran with the aim of examining the presence of Afghan immigrants and citizens, especially elites and economic activists, to Khorasan Razavi Province and he traveled to the holy city of Mashhad.
After his trip to holy Mashhad, Mr. Qomi said in a tweet that he had very productive meetings with elites, economic activists and Afghan businessmen.
It should be mentioned that Mr. Qomi had previously visited Qom province and met Afghan elites from different walks of life.
