800 kilograms of narcotics have been seized in Panjshir and Badakhshan provinces. Local security officials said.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Panjshir Counter-Narcotics Department Head Hormatullah told Bakhtar News Agency local security officers seized 769 kilograms of drugs in the capital of the province.

Elsewhere, counter-narcotics officials of Badakhshan province arrested a person in connection to smuggling 12 kilograms of opium.

This comes as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has banned the cultivation, process, and use of drugs in the country.
