The Qalam Literacy Center, which operates under the supervision of the Bamyan Province Literacy Department, has provided education for a large number of women in this province who have been deprived of the blessing of literacy.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: Local literacy officials in Bamyan province say that last year, about 14 women under the age of 50 graduated from this literacy center and participated in the entrance examination.
Mohammad Sadiq Farhang, director of literacy in Bamyan province, says that last year 14 women participated in the entrance exam, and fortunately, all of them succeeded in the entrance exam and entered their desired fields of study.
Mr. Farhang tells AVA that this year, fortunately, more than 10 women of the Qalam educational center will graduate from the 11th grade and include the 12th grade.
Khadija, a 35-year-old mother of 3 children, is one of the students of this literacy center. She says: I am happy that today I have passed the final exam of the 11th grade and will be included in the 12th grade.
She expresses her hope that next year she will participate in entrance examination and succeed in her desired field.
Mrs. Khadijah also has a 14-year-old daughter. She says: My daughter has finished the sixth grade of school, but unfortunately she could not go to school this year due to the closure of schools above the sixth grade.
She told AVA: "Today, when I came to take the exam, my daughter was very happy that her mother was going to school for exam."
Like Mrs. Khadija, a large number of women in this educational center wish to enter the university one day and, most importantly, to provide their children with education.
It should be mentioned that the Qalam Literacy Center has been operating under the supervision of the Education Department of Bamyan Province and has provided education for more than 400 people who have left school.
It should be noted that most of the students of this center are women, ranging from 15 to 55 years of age.
