The leader of North Korea stated during the test launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile "Hwasong-17" and in response to America's actions against the country that he will resolutely respond to any nuclear threat with nuclear weapons.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): North Korean leader Kim Jong-un warned the United States that they will respond to any military threat with a decisive nuclear response.
North Korean state media reported early Saturday that Kim made the remarks while overseeing the launch of the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile with his nine-year-old daughter.
According to "Yonhap" news agency, citing this report, the said missile, which was fired from Pyongyang International Airport, traveled 999.2 kilometers in the sky at an altitude of 6,000 kilometers.
This report states: "This test firing showed the reliability of North Korea's large and new strategic weapon systems and its powerful combat performance. This shooting was carried out under the unacceptable conditions created by the reckless military countermeasures of the United States and other hostile forces.
The leader of North Korea said while monitoring this launch that the launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile showed the existence of a reliable and powerful capacity in his country to deal with any kind of nuclear threat.
Accordingly, Kim warned: "If the enemies continue to threaten North Korea by introducing nuclear offensive tools, our government and party will resolutely respond to nuclear threats with weapons and confrontation with confrontation."
Earlier, South Korean President Yoon Seok-yul asked the international community to impose the most severe sanctions on Pyongyang, calling for strengthening deterrence against North Korean missiles.
